Milwaukee County Zoo (3.0 miles) The Milwaukee County Zoo, situated on 200 wooded acres, is home to approximately 2500 creatures, representing 350species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates. Some of the animals you can expect to see are the Snow Leopard, Bactrian Camel, African Elephant, Rhinoceros Hornbill and the Red Panda. The zoo is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m through 2:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m through 4:30 p.m. Admission for adults cost $10.75 per ticket and admission for children ages 3 - 12 costs $7.75 per ticket. |

Wisconsin State Fair Park (5.0 miles) Just five miles from our Milwaukee Brookfield hotel, the Wisconsin State Fair Park is home to hundreds of events each year. From the annual Wisconsin State Fair, to the Milwaukee Mile and the Pettit National Ice Center, the fairground has something for everyone. The 200-acre park sees nearly 2.5 million visitors each year from all over the country. The Wisconsin state fair has been held at its current location since1892. When built, the fairgrounds featured a 6,000-seat Grandstand, a racetrack with four barns for racehorses and various exhibit buildings.
